Harambee counts on donations from globally concerned citizens, just like you, for the majority of our funding.
We make a commitment to use your donation responsibly and see that is does not go to waste getting tangled up in high administration costs. In fact, no one in Harambee, other than our Field Director, who receives a modest stipend, gets paid for their time in our organization, so you can feel confident that your money is going to provide direct support to vulnerable children and women, just the way you intend. Your contribution is tax-deductible under IRS 501(c)3 regulations. Remember too, the power of your dollar goes further when spent abroad.

Your donation is always wisely spent!
Donations to the General Fund will be used for whatever the current cost needs are.
You may sponsor the education of a child starting in primary school or up through college. Sponsorships start at just $100/year for a primary child and go up to $500/year for college.
You may pay a monthly lab bill for just $25. ( Children are tested for malaria, UTI, typhoid, general infections)
You may pay a monthly pharmacy bill for $50. ( Medications for whatever a child may need)
You may purchase a water filter for $50.
You may buy a 220 pound bag of corn for $25.
You may buy a 265 pound bag of beans for $100.
You can sign up for our Harambee Happy Feet 5K/Walk/Fun Run and bring your friends! The race is our major fundraiser and ensures another year of Harambee’s support our efforts at MAHOCE!
